Hill Top Thornton. He visited the USA following his marriage but returned in 1912 for the birth of his son Lloyd. It is believed that he then owned a Fish Shop in Hill Top. In 1911 he lived at 15 Hill Top Road and then
moved to 50 Hill Top Road in 1912 and in 1913 he returned to 15 Hill Top Road. He was killed in the First World War and the following is from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
